Maisie grew up in Calgary, AB and her passion of working with animals began at a young age. She lived with her dog, Geo, and he was with her in every step as she travelled for school and work. In 2013, Maisie graduated from University of Alberta with a BSc. in Animal Health. Several years later, Geo passed away at the age of 14 due to heart complications. As many pet owners know, the loss of your first fur pal is not easy. Soon after, Maisie found motivation through the loss of her furriend and began dog walking on the side of working at her corporate job. However, it didn't take long for her to realize she wanted to pursue dog walking full time!  She received a Dog Walking Certification and Pet First Aid Certification, and thus began a new chapter of her life: Furriends Dog Walking!

Furriends Dog Walking Inc is an insured and bonded company that operates with Maisie and her group of professional independent contractors. They have a force-free and reward-based style of walking. The company started in 2018 and considers safety with the utmost importance. To ensure safety of walkers and the pups, all dogs are walked with proper gear and loose leash walking is practised at every visit. Walks are done on-leash unless otherwise discussed with owner beforehand. In addition, dogs are assessed before any services to determine compatibility and vaccination records are required. In the vehicle, they are in separate crates to avoid any injuries while in motion. Furriends Dog Walking strives to create an enjoyable outing for your pup then returns them home safe and sound each day!

Furriends Dog Walking: We take up to 4 dogs on-leash at a time to ensure walks are enjoyable!
